Welcome to Pearson’s Corner Elementary School… We are so excited to have you join our community!  Pearson’s Corner is an exceptional school that strives for excellence in education for life-long learning. It takes a village these days to raise our children and our community at Pearson’s Corner is a place where academics and our community come together to help our kids achieve their highest potential.

Support your School

It is important to know that a wonderful school is truly a product of involved parents, staff, teachers and kids.  Pearson’s Corner is successful because of these elements. All parents are encouraged to support our school through time and monetary support.  How can you help? You can help by getting involved and donating to Pearson’s Corner.  

Giving Your Time:  This can be done by volunteering in your child(ren)’s classroom.  This is at the discretion of the teacher. You can get involved by volunteering in our parent organizations (PTA). There will be opportunities throughout the year. You can always check the PTA Programs tab on ways you can be involved. 

Giving Your Money$:  To keep and build new enrichment programs at Pearson’s Corner it is encouraged for parents to contribute financially through the PTA. You can support enrichment at Pearson’s Corner by pledging funds today and joining the PTA or attending one of our many fundraising events throughout the school year.

New Parent FAQ

 FAQ for New Students and Parents to Pearson’s Corner. If you’re coming to Pearson’s Corner for the first time, here is some info to help you adjust…

• When is the first day of school? When are the holidays? School begins in the 2019 – 2020 school year on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. The complete schedule, including holidays, is always available on our school website.
• What is the school schedule? School starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. 
• How does school drop-off and pick-up work? We encourage all parents to allow their students to ride on the county’s bus system.  You can find a schedule for pick up at your location here.
• If my child is sick or absent? If your child is sick from school please call the Pearson’s Corner Nurses office at 804-723-3665 to report this absence.  All sickness are considered excused with a written note by a parent. If you are planning to take your child out of school for a vacation please email or write a note to your child’s teacher.  Please note that these types of absences are considered unexcused. • How can I help or involved in my child’s school Pearson’s Corner Elementary PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is looking for volunteers to support our educational enrichment programs, family events and fundraising efforts. We rely on donations from student’s families and the community to ensure our children’s education is the best that it can be.
